MediaTest: New services. New markets. New customers.

MediaTest provides detailed information about how online TV and radio are used, whether live or on demand!

How do we do this? MediaTest embeds software code into streaming services on various online platforms. This tracking is implemented in cooperation with the streaming services.

Whenever someone watches a program via internet streaming, whether live or on demand, the embedded software code generates online TV or radio usage data that details what was watched and for how long, down to the second. This data provides information about the number and type of PCs, tablets, smart TVs, and smartphones used to watch/listen to programs, both on demand and via live stream. It's important to note that this is not personal data, but rather the total number of devices used to view the participating services.

Device-based data provides no information about the number or type of viewers. However, this personalized information is crucial for our clients, as they want to plan for the audience and the specific viewers who watch the content they produce. For this, we need an online panel. MediaTest is developing this panel in partnership with another company. MediaTest combines this device-based data with panel data to deliver accurate audience data for all devices, whether PCs, tablets, smartphones, or smart TVs.

This is just one of MediaTest's planned innovations for the new year. By 2026, MediaTest will have several new services and new clients in new markets.

These new services, such as video tracking, logo tracking during TV sports broadcasts, music recognition, fully automated invoicing, and AI text mutations for press agencies, will complement MediaTest's core business starting next year. Our core business remains the measurement of TV and radio ratings, as well as TV and radio commercials in traditional media, using the patented MediaTest audio water marking and fingerprinting technology. MediaTest has been successfully deploying both of these high-tech service technologies throughout Italy and Germany for years.

New markets, new customers.

In 2026, MediaTest service tools will also be deployed in other countries, namely the USA, Canada, Mexico, Israel, South Africa, and for the first time, Austria. In all these countries, we are collaborating with major TV and radio broadcasters, as well as research and media networks.

MediaTest celebrates its birthday and is about to cross the Atlantic!

MediaTest celebrates its birthday on September 15th! For five years, MediaTest audio watermarking technology has been successfully measuring TV and radio ratings, as well as advertising spot ratings, in Italy. In Germany, MediaTest fingerprinting technology records the number of radio broadcast views for press agencies. Now, the leap across the Atlantic is just around the corner. After a successful test phase in the first half of this year in Mexico, the USA, and Canada measuring soccer ratings for TV, radio, and streaming, as well as the use of MediaTest watermarking technology for TV reality shows in Mexico, MediaTest is about to make the leap across the Atlantic and also deploy automated music measurement and launch the MediaTest AI product for text mutations and image and video recognition.
